GeoConvention 2024 Welcomes Students!

GeoConvention is focused on developing the future of the industry and students are a very important part of the future!  GeoConvention offers students an exciting opportunity to learn and network with top industry professionals. There are is a number of activities and programs designed to enhance the student experience at the convention.

Mentorship

The GeoConvention mentorship program pairs you with an experienced GeoConvention leader, allowing an easy introduction to the conference and curated networking.

Travel Assistance Program

Volunteer Opportunities

Students who volunteer a minimum of 8 hours will receive a $100 reimbursement for their time*. This initiative allows students to network with industry professionals on the exhibit floor and learn from the technical sessions for little or no cost. Special Events

Challenge Bowl is an action-packed geoscience quiz game for geological and geophysical student members. Teams from across Canada compete for the grand prize: an expenses-paid trip to the SEG convention to compete against the best from SEG chapters around the world! Cheer on your favorite team, marvel at their knowledge and share their enthusiasm!

Networking Lunches are a perfect opportunity to meet your peers and industry professionals in a relaxed setting; enjoy a nice lunch and grow your network!
